The thought of traveling it's fun enough, yet when you start planning it might not be as easy as 1,2,3.
Not to miss anything you need for your vacation is highly recommended you make a list of things you need.
Looking into your wallet you want to clarify what you need.
sort out what credit cards you need and make the right decision what to leave behind; your wallet will fit better in your pocket for sure and you have less to worry about.
take the time to make copies of all your credit card and ID/Passport (both sides) and store those in a life in a luggage. Also, have the credit cards phone numbers written somewhere or on your cell phone where you know you can easily access them. Learn how to dial your country from the other side of the pond; I'll tell you, it can be challenging!
In some countries, it's often asked of you to leave your passport at the desk (when you check in at a hotel) DON'T EVER leave your passport at the desk, that form of an ID should never be anywhere but in your possession.

Hopefully these tips are somewhat helpful to you, the less in your wallet the better you will feel; always suggested you have some cash on hand.
So, make sure you can close that wallet easier and travel lighter!
